personal training

personal training in Bristol and Weston super MareI don’t like to call myself a personal trainer. It can strike up the wrong image in the mind. I prefer to be thought of as a lifestyle coach. Why? Because getting in shape and becoming fit, strong and healthy is not something that you’re meant to do for a period of time. You are meant to be fit, strong and healthy for your whole life. That’s why I will coach you on: how to change your lifestyle. In fact don’t even think of it as changing your lifestyle, Think of it as adding to your life. Think of it as adding health, confidence, happiness and strength to your life (and probably years too)

Once you have been coached by me for a certain period of time you will then (if you chose) have the ability to ‘go it alone’. Think of me as a teacher and yourself as the student working towards a master degree in fitness, health and strength. Of course every ones pace and way of learning is different and it is entirely up to you to decide when and if you want to ‘go it alone’

What to expect

You will be given a free consultation, everyone is an individual, with different goals and needs. So this is a good time for me to assess you and vice versa. There will be absolutely no pressure to start, in fact I will refuse to coach you unless you really want me to. At your free consultation you will get to ask me any questions you may have. (The consultation will be restricted no longer than 45mins).

You will be given written material throughout the course to refer to. As you progress you will learn:

  • The correct way to think before and during your training to create a stronger neuro electrical, mind-body connection.
  • How to fully motivate yourself so that you look forward to your training.
  • How to fully motivate yourself so that you find eating the right foods easier.
  • How to increase your focus while training so that you perform better than you have ever done before.
  • How to train to maximise your time spent in the gym.
  • How the body responds to different types of training.
  • How to use the vast array of exercises and training techniques to maximise their effect.
  • What the laws of muscle growth are and how the use them.
  • What the laws of fat loss are and how to use them.
  • What foods you need to eat to reach you goals.
  • The correct way to eat.
  • How different foods affect your body.

Personal training

There is an optimum training time of around 45 minutes per session. If you are training properly, three weight sessions per week will be recommended. If fat loss is your primary concern, separate cardio sessions will be recommended as well (these should take no longer than 20 minutes and can be done at home or the gym).

Food i love

No is the short answer. And the long answer is, this is a lifestyle change, so your eating habits will have to change and what you eat too. But with that said even if you are changing your diet dramatically I will recommend one cheat day per week, this means you can eat what ever you want all day! Don’t worry though, for some people when they hear the word ‘diet’ it means starving your self and eating cardboard food. Forget what you think eating healthy means, I promise you when you start the change you will love your new eating habits.

Personal trainer

Yes anyone (within reason) can do it. The biggest blocks are not our ‘genetics’ but our minds. This is one of the most important areas in which I start with and continue to build on as you go through the course. You may have doubt in your potential right now, but that’s only because you have not been shown how to use the full power of your mind to unleash the greater version of you.

Going to the gym

I am currently training clients in and around the south west of England, more specifically Weston-super-mare at Gym Central. I also can train in Clifton (Bristol), Portishead and Clevedon. If I am not in your area please still feel free to sign up for free information and future promotions.
